  1. Charlotte Gower: Rising Star in Deaf Swimming

    At just 15 years old, Charlotte Gower is making waves in the world of deaf swimming. An S15 classified swimmer, Charlotte represents both Rugby Swimming Club and GB Deaf Swimming, while also being part of Swim England’s National Youth Development Pathway—a testament to her dedication and talent.

    Last year, Charlotte impressed on the national stage, reaching multiple finals at the Summer and Winter National Championships and setting several GB Deaf Swimming youth and adult records. Her relentless pursuit of excellence has now led to an exciting milestone—she has been provisionally selected to represent Great Britain at the Deaflympics in Tokyo this November. With her sights set on the podium, she hopes to be a strong contender for medals.

    Before heading to Tokyo, Charlotte remains focused on her training, preparing for two major competitions: the Aquatics GB Swimming Championships and the Next Gen Championships 2025. With her incredible work ethic and determination, the future looks bright for this rising star.

  2. Alexander Sargeant

    Please welcome our newest member Alexander Sargeant to the arena UK team

    arena UK / Solo Sports are excited to be working with Alexander Sargeant as he signs a new kit sponsorship agreement. Alexander has recently moved to Swansea University and will be looking to build on a very successful past season which included picking up bronze at the British Olympic Trials in the 1500 FS . Alexander will work with highly experienced distance coach Adam Baker as looks to make senior GB teams in 2025.

  4. Welcome William Ellard to the arena UK team

    We are excited to announce a new support contract with one of Great Britain’s leading Paralympic swimmers, GB International Para Swimmer William Ellard.

    The 17 year old from St. Felix swimming club is already a Para World Championships medallist after winning three medals in Manchester in August 2023. William won silver in the S14 200m Freestyle, and relay gold in the S14 Mixed 4 x 100 Freestyle Team, and silver in the S14 Mixed 4 x 100 Medley Team. A member of the recently announced British Swimming Podium Potential 2023/2024 squad.

    William will race in arena race suits and technical equipment as he aims for a place on the Paralympic Team for Paris next summer 2024.

    To finish this year, William will be racing at the Swim England Winter Championships in Sheffield, this weekend.

  5. Welcome Will Perry to team arena UK

    We are excited to announce a new support contract with one of Great Britain’s leading Paralympic swimmers, Will Perry from Ealing SC.

    Will made his Paralympic debut in Tokyo at the delayed 2020 Paralympics and went onto race at the 2022 World Para Swimming Championships and the 2022 Commonwealth Games,

    Will races in the S6 / SB6 classification and will be in action this week at the Citi Para Swimming World Series incorporating the British Para-Swimming Meet in Sheffield from 16th – 19th March.  Will races 50/100 Breaststroke and  50 Freestyle.

  6. Welcome Amelie Blocksidge to the arena UK team

    We are excited to announce a new support contract with one of Great Britain’s brightest distance prospects, Amelie Blocksidge, from City of Salford SC.

    The 13 year old has been in tremendous form recently Breaking the British age group record for 1500 FS with a time that would have broken the 14 and 15-year-old age group records as well.  She has also just equalled the British age group record for 800FS.

    Last year, 2022, was the breakout year for Amelie, who as a 13year old won 5 events at the British Summer Championships in the pool ( 400/800/1500 FS , 400 IM, 200Fly ) and also the 2KM open water title. At the swim England Winter National Championships in December Amelie was in brilliant form taking the Senior and Junior 1500FS Titles, Junior 800FS title and Senior silver along with Junior silver in 400 FS.

    Amelie is the youngest member of the England Youth Squad and will be racing in Sweden later this month.

  7. Please welcome our newest member Jessica Calderbank to the arena UK team

    Jessica Calderbank is the latest swimmer to attract a sponsorship agreement with arena UK. The City of Manchester swimmer has had a great short course season, picking up medals at the Winter Nationals in December, the experienced butterfly swimmer now turns her focus on the long course season. Racing in the arena carbon glide suit, Jessica combines her swimming with her studies at the University of Salford.

    Solo Sports / arena UK look forward to helping Jessica and supporting her swimming journey over the nest few years.

  8. arena welcomes Skye Carter to the arena UK team

    Solo Sports / arena UK are delighted to announcement the sponsorship of Skye Carter from Basildon & Phoenix Swimming Club in Essex.

    The 15year old was a member of Team GB at the Youth Olympics in Slovakia last summer.  Skye came away from her first International meet with multiple medals across individual and relay events. Racing mainly in freestyle sprint events, Skye has her sites firmly set in making more Junior  International teams in the next few years.

    Skye is another up and coming talented swimmer who arena UK are delighted to offer kit support to  over the next few years.

    We are delighted to announcement the sponsorship of Alexander Painter from Millfield.

    The 18year old was a member of the GB team at the European Junior Championships in 2022 and further international representation followed at the Indianapolis stop of the FINA World Cup . Alex was in spectacular form at the Swim England National Winter Championships in Sheffield recently, picking up the National Senior & Junior title in the 100 IM and wins in the Junior 50, 100, & 200 free.Read More >
